È la popeline di cotone, in Azucena nominata al femminile come nella lingua francese, a fare la differenza. Per ritrovare l'ordito originario, "se troppo fitto filtrerebbe eccessivamente la luce, leggero lascerebbe intravedere le lampadine" sono stati interpellati praticamente tutti i commercianti di stoffe della Lombardia. Grazie alla giusta compattezza delle tele del cappello, perfettamente tese e incorniciate dagli spigoli in ottone, le otto lampadine garantiscono una luce bianca e omogenea a 360°. Anche il parallelepipedo di base, in marmo bianco di Carrara, è perfettamente simmetrico: al centro s'innesta il lungo perno in ottone a sezione quadrata e le quattro feritoie laterali alla base permettono al cavo elettrico di essere sempre alloggiato. Un prisma "regolare" anche rispetto ai più piccoli dettagli.&

In search of the original weave, "if too thick it filters too much light, if too fine, it would make the light bulbs visible", practically all the textile vendors in Lombardy were contacted. Thanks to the right weight of the fabric used for the shade, perfectly taut and framed by brass corners, the eight bulbs guarantee a white and even light at 360°. The parallelepiped base, in white Carrara marble, is also perfectly symmetrical, at the centre is fixed the long brass pivot with a square section and four side channels at the base keep the electric cable in place. A "regular" prism also with respect to the tiniest detail. &
