“Ambivalence and dissonance give Caccia Dominioni’s architecture complexity and vitality. Thanks to these, in a playful and carefree way, he opposes any form of dogma”.

Design: Luigi Caccia Dominioni, 1958

From the moment it was first presented at the XI Triennale in Milan in 1953, Catilina became one of Luigi Caccia Dominioni’s classics. He loved the design so much that guests in his studio would settle down by his desk to chat in these chairs.

“If there was ever an architect whom the definition of ‘homo faber’ applies to, this was Caccia Dominioni”.

Antonio Citterio, 2018
