The apartment of Cino Zucchi is located at Via Lanzone 6, right in the heart of Milan, halfway between the Lombard heritage of Sant'Ambrogio and the Italian architecture of the post-war period. In the home of the architect, some of Azucena’s most iconic designs. Milan’s original spirit has been rekindled.

The value of Azucena comes from the combination of different factors: the originality and authenticity of the project, the uniqueness of the historical period in which it originates, and last but not least, the value of its interpreters. Above all, Luigi Caccia Dominioni, the founder and the brand's main referent: a visionary, an extraordinary forerunner of modernity. With this format, we intend to collect testimonies - not necessarily linked to the world of architecture and design - from estimators of his extraordinary work. A one-on-one with different personalities who have grasped and deepened his cultural value, from admirers of his talent to friends who met him along the way. Everyone, unquestionably, disciples of his genius and elegance.

Serapian, the historical luxury leather goods Maison founded in 1928 in Milan by Stefano Serapian (the brand entered the Richemont Group in 2017) and Azucena, furniture brand founded in 1947 by architects Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Ignazio Gardella and Corrado Corradi Dell'Acqua (B&B Italia acquired the brand in 2018), presented the one-of-a-kind version of the iconic Catilina chair, one of the most representative pieces by Luigi Caccia Dominioni. The seat cushion of the Catilina chair has been reinterpreted and enhanced by Serapian's Bespoke Atelier with the precious Mosaic craft, entirely handmade, which has distinguished the Milanese brand since 1947, the same year in which Azucena was born. Soft braided nappa stripes wrap the cushions’ sides, playing with colour combinations from the iconic black & white, to touches of fuchsia, mint, red, bronze or navy blue. For those expert hands, nothing is impossible, and this is just another dream fulfilled.

The B&B Italia Group organised a special lecture on Luigi Caccia Dominioni for the Art + Design Salon, the exhibition centred on design collectibles that recently ended in New York.

The Luigi Caccia Dominioni collection is hosted in the splendid rooms of the Aman Canal Grande Venice.
